Minister of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade Timcho Mucunski met in Skopje with Montenegro's Deputy Prime Minister in charge of European and Foreign Affairs, Filip Ivanovic, to discuss European integration, reform processes and closer bilateral cooperation.

Two decades of diplomatic ties and a new air link

According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and Foreign Trade, the interlocutors emphasised that accession to the European Union should proceed on the basis of merits and implemented reforms.

During talks they also finalised an agreement to introduce a new air route between the two countries. The officials described this as part of efforts to deepen economic cooperation and improve infrastructure connectivity.

Further areas identified for enhanced cooperation included energy and tourism, with both sides signalling readiness to advance projects that strengthen regional ties and mobility.
