The Ministry of Internal Affairs is conducting a coordinated operation today that includes searches at about twenty locations, the ministry said.
"The Ministry of Internal Affairs today is conducting a coordinated operation with searches at multiple locations on suspicions of illegal issuing and forging of C and D category driving licences. The operation is ongoing, with the aim of clarifying the cases and securing material evidence," the Ministry of Internal Affairs said.
Scope and purpose of the operation
Authorities say the probe focuses on alleged irregularities in the issuance of C and D licences, categories typically issued to professional drivers. The searches are intended to collect documents and other material evidence relevant to the investigation.
Because the operation is still under way, officials have not released details about any suspects or the exact addresses involved in the searches.
The Ministry indicated it will provide further updates once the searches are completed and evidence has been processed.
