MZT Skopje opens title defence against MKK Kumanovo
Basketball Federation meeting confirmed the Superleague draw, M-tel sponsorship and first-round schedule for the 2026/2027 season.
MZT Skopje Aerodrom will begin its defence of the Superleague title against MKK Kumanovo, after club representatives met today at the offices of the Basketball Federation of North Macedonia ahead of the 2026/2027 season.
Members of the Superleague clubs’ association discussed organisational details, the competition system for 2026/2027, season start dates and arrangements for the Macedonian Supercup. The meeting served to coordinate preparations between the federation and the clubs.
The clubs were also informed that the commercial partnership with M-tel will continue, providing additional support for domestic basketball.
Fixture draw and first-round pairs
The meeting included the draw of competition numbers, which produced the pairings for the opening round. The first round is scheduled for October 3–4.

- Skopje – Kozuv
- MZT Skopje Aerodrom – MKK Kumanovo
- Shtip – Tikvesh Golden Eagle
Officials described the working session as an opportunity to exchange views, suggestions and positions on organisational matters; those proposals will be taken into account by the relevant bodies of the Basketball Federation of North Macedonia.
