Derby in Skopje: Komiti visited Pelister's team hotel before the match
Komiti visited Pelister's hotel last night with fireworks and songs as the sold-out derby at Jane Sandanski kicks off at 17:45.
The first handball derby of the season between Vardar and Pelister is scheduled for today at 17:45 at the Jane Sandanski Sports Center in Skopje, with the current champion hosting the match. Tickets for the game have been sold out.
Match build-up
Attention has focused on the two fan groups, Komiti and Chkembari, which this week exchanged messages on social networks ahead of the clash.
Last night Komiti visited the hotel where Pelister's players are accommodated. With fireworks and songs, they attempted to disturb the team’s sleep ahead of the derby.
A similar episode occurred last year when Vardar's players travelled to Bitola as guests and faced comparable fan pressure.
The sold-out crowd at Jane Sandanski will see whether the pre-match tensions affect the teams when the ball is thrown in at 17:45.
