Netflix buys Spain broadcast rights for FIFA World Cup 2030

Netflix has purchased the Spanish market broadcast rights for the FIFA World Cup 2030, acquiring the package that covers every match of the expanded tournament.

What the deal includes

The agreement covers all 104 matches of the World Cup, which will feature 48 national teams. Spain is one of the tournament hosts, alongside Morocco and Portugal.

Netflix said that, as part of its Spanish offering, one match per day from the competition will be made available free of charge to viewers in Spain.

In addition, the company confirmed it will provide a rights package — including all matches of the Spanish national team plus both semifinals and the final — to a Spanish national television broadcaster.

Netflix has already been active in football rights: the company previously secured rights for the Women’s World Cup in 2027 and 2031, and this latest acquisition represents a further move into live sports.

Netflix España posted on Twitter: "Netflix acquires the exclusive audiovisual rights for Spain and Andorra for the FIFA World Cup 2030™."
