New criminal complaint against Ministry of Interior employee for falsifying categories in driver’s licences
The Ministry says the alleged falsifications occurred from early 2025 to 24 August 2026; 30 cases have been identified so far.

The Ministry of Interior of North Macedonia has filed a new criminal complaint against an employee in its administrative services over allegations she falsified driving-license categories for dozens of people.
The employee was previously convicted in the first case discovered in September and, after pleading guilty, received 2.5 years in prison. Authorities say additional cases emerged during a renewed review, prompting the new filing.
How investigators say the scheme worked
According to the Ministry, the alleged actions took place from the beginning of 2025 until 24 August 2026. The suspect is accused of illegally changing records in the electronic system and adding driving-license categories for individuals who did not meet the legal requirements.
Investigators allege she used her personal access code to approve requests and enable issuance of licences with unlawfully added categories. One reported holder is said to have used a licence with the illegally added category "A" to operate a motorcycle and cross a state border.
So far, authorities have identified 30 cases of falsification. The employee has been suspended from her duties while the investigation continues.
Police records show she was first suspected of similar abuses in 2021 but was not convicted due to insufficient evidence; she returned to the Ministry in 2025 and, according to the complaint, resumed the alleged misconduct in the administrative services.
