Basketball Federation confirms eight teams and draws first-round matchups for Women's First League
Federation and club representatives agreed competition format and drew the opening-round match-ups for the 2026/2027 season.
The Basketball Federation of North Macedonia held a working meeting with representatives of the clubs that are members of the Women's First League association, discussing preparations and organisational details for the 2026/2027 season.
Eight teams confirmed; first-round pairings drawn
The meeting, convened at the federation's premises, reviewed the competition system, possible start dates and other operational matters necessary for the smooth running of the championship.
According to the decisions made at the meeting, eight teams will take part in the upcoming Women's First League campaign and will compete for placement and the best possible results in the 2026/2027 season.
Club delegates exchanged proposals and views on scheduling and organizational questions; those suggestions will be taken into account by the federation's competent bodies in further preparations.
During the working session the draw for match numbers was carried out and produced the following first-round pairings, scheduled for 10/11 October 2026:
- Vardar – Kriva Palanka
- ProBasket – Badel 1862
- Gevgelija – Patriot
- MZT Bela Voda – Basket Kam
