October public holidays create two long weekends: 11, 12 and 23 October
Two public holidays in October 2026 fall so citizens will have two three-day long weekends.

October 2026 will give citizens two extended long weekends thanks to three public holidays that fall in convenient positions on the calendar. The dates to note are 11 October, 12 October and 23 October.
The first occasion comes with the Day of the People's Uprising on 11 October. Because that date falls on a Sunday this year, the holiday is observed on the following working day, meaning Monday 12 October is also a non-working day under the Law on Holidays.
Another three-day break comes at the end of the month
The second public holiday, the Day of the Macedonian Revolutionary Struggle on 23 October, falls on a Friday. That placement creates a standard three-day long weekend when joined with Saturday and Sunday.
In short, the non-working days in October 2026 for all citizens are 11 October, 12 October and 23 October. Employers, schools and public services will apply the statutory rules for those dates.
Residents are advised to plan travel, errands and business that require office hours around these dates to avoid closures and delays.
