Retirees in North Macedonia will be able to collect October pension payments soon; because November 1, 2026 falls on a Sunday, the regular payout is expected to begin on Monday, November 2, the first working day of the month.

The Pension and Disability Insurance Fund follows the usual practice of paying pensions at the start of the following month for the previous month. That means the amounts received at the beginning of November refer to the October pension.

Early bank payouts and what they mean

Certain commercial banks have in recent years allowed early payouts, crediting pension payments before the official calendar date. If banks repeat that practice this month, some pensioners could have access to their October pension already in the final days of October.

Early disbursement is particularly important for older citizens for whom the pension is the main or sole source of income. Receiving funds earlier helps them pay monthly bills, buy food and medicines, and cover other essential expenses on time.

Important: early payment is not mandatory for banks, so not all pensioners will receive funds on the same day. Those who get pensions via a transaction account should monitor announcements from their bank, while people who withdraw cash at a branch counter need to check the bank's schedule and conditions for payout.

With the end of October approaching, banks are expected to publish further information in the coming days if they plan early disbursements. For the majority of pensioners, Monday, November 2 remains the anticipated start date for the regular payout unless authorities or banks announce otherwise.
