Municipality of Centar offers scholarships up to 5,000 denars for primary pupils
Scholarships awarded in culture, science/technical and sport categories; eight places reserved for pupils from high social‑risk families.

The Municipality of Centar has opened an application process for monthly scholarships for pupils in municipal primary schools, with awards reaching up to 5,000 denars. The support is offered in three main categories — culture; science, technical and special skills; and sport — and additionally eight scholarships are reserved for talented pupils from families with high social risk.
Amounts, duration and who qualifies
Scholarship levels in the culture and the science/technical/special skills categories are set at 4,000 and 4,500 denars per month. Sport scholarships are available at 3,500, 4,500 and 5,000 denars per month. Payments will be made for eight months during the current school year.
"With this measure we provide greater support for knowledge, creativity, talent and the sporting spirit of our pupils. They are our future and deserve conditions in which they can develop and realize their ambitions," wrote mayor Goran Gerasimovski on social media.
Each pupil may apply in only one category. Applicants must submit a school certificate confirming regular pupil status, a short biography, contact details for a parent or guardian, photocopies of grade transcripts, copies of diplomas, recognitions and awards, and confirmations from relevant federations or accredited organisations according to the category applied for.
Documents should be delivered to the Archive of the Municipality of Centar — Skopje or sent by post to "Mihail Cokov" No. 1, Skopje, clearly marked with the relevant category. The final deadline for submitting applications and supporting documents is September 23, 2026.
The municipality says the full announcement and the list of required documents are published on the Municipality of Centar website.
