Centar Municipality announces emergency deratization on Monday

Centar Municipality announced it will carry out an emergency deratization on Monday, noting that the previous operation was conducted only a month ago.

The municipality said it conducts deratization and disinfection across its territory on a regular basis with the stated purpose of protecting citizens' health and preventing infectious diseases.

Details from the municipal statement

"Since the beginning of the year the Municipality carried out a regular spring deratization across its entire territory, as well as two emergency actions at locations where increased presence of rodents was observed. The new emergency deratization will be carried out on Monday, and from October the regular autumn deratization will follow – the statement reads."

The notice reiterates that the recent action is part of an ongoing programme of pest control. Officials framed the measures as preventive steps aimed at reducing the risk of rodent-borne and other infectious threats.

The municipality did not list precise treatment times or individual neighbourhoods in the release. Residents are advised to follow any additional instructions issued locally ahead of the campaign.
