Ilinden renews Kadino's main water network
Mayor Aleksandar Georgievski inspected works replacing about 650 metres of pipeline with polyethylene F280 pipes.

Ilinden Municipality has begun work to renew the main water supply pipeline in the settlement of Kadino, where roughly 650 metres of the old network are being replaced, the municipality announced.
Mayor Aleksandar Georgievski inspected the construction site and confirmed that the worn and damaged sections will be swapped out for new polyethylene pipes F280, a change that municipal officials say will improve the system’s reliability and functionality.
Scope and expected benefits
The project adds to earlier repairs: the municipality notes that 1,400 metres of the main water network in Kadino were rehabilitated in a previous phase. With the current replacement of an additional 650 metres, the main pipeline in the settlement will be completely renewed.
Municipal representatives say the intervention aims to ensure continuous and stable water supply, to cut losses from leaks and to maintain steady pressure across the system. The new polyethylene pipes are intended to reduce the frequency of breakdowns tied to the older infrastructure.
“With the completion of the construction works the long-standing problem of the worn-out water infrastructure and frequent defects will be solved, thereby providing safer, higher-quality and more stable water supply for the residents of Kadino,” the statement says.
Work on-site continues under municipal supervision; officials expect that, once finished, residents of Kadino will see fewer interruptions and improved service from the renewed main water network.
