Karposh Municipality deploys drone in inspection work
Municipality-trained staff certified to operate drones; device already active in the Inspectorate Sector.
Karposh Municipality has started using unmanned aerial vehicles (drones) in its inspection work to speed up and improve monitoring of conditions on the ground.
Four municipal staff completed training and received certificates to operate the drones: building inspectors Dusko Andonov and Zharko Radichki, Jovanche Cvetanovski from the Department for Ecology and Energy Efficiency, and the municipality's cameraman Sashe Trajkovski.
The drone is already in service within the Inspectorate Sector. Municipal officials say the technology will make it easier to reach hard-to-access locations, provide better visual documentation and give inspectors a more precise overview during inspection procedures.
Operational use and possible expansion
The municipality says the unmanned aerial vehicle will be used by inspectors who require this type of field surveillance, and that its application could be extended to other sectors in the future.
Officials also expect that introducing drones will create a more modern approach to monitoring urban conditions, infrastructure, public spaces and the environment.
