Municipality of Strumica seeks five civil servants, salaries about €587–€873

The Agency for Administration has published public advertisement No. 799/2026 announcing five openings in the Municipality of Strumica. The announcement lists net salaries that the agency describes broadly as ranging “from around €580 to €870,” while individual posts carry specified amounts between about €587 and €873.

Positions, pay and basic requirements

According to the advertisement, the highest-paid post is Head of the Department for Citizen Services and Local Self-Government, with a net salary of approximately €873. Applicants for that position must hold a university degree and have at least four years of professional experience in the field, including one year in the public sector; alternatively, six years of experience are acceptable if two of those years were in a managerial role in the private sector.

Two vacancies are listed in the Department of Education for an advisor for primary education and an advisor for secondary education. Both advisor posts carry a net salary of about €799 and require at least three years of professional experience in the field. The advertisement notes different acceptable educational backgrounds for the two advisor roles.

The municipality is also seeking a junior associate for the organisation and administrative preparation of trainings, with a net salary of approximately €679; this post is open to candidates without prior work experience. The fifth opening is for the mayor’s technical secretary, with a net salary of about €587 and a requirement of at least secondary education and three years’ work experience.

On qualifications, the ad specifies different accepted study areas for the two education-advisor posts. For the primary education advisor it accepts degrees in education, literary studies or psychology; for the secondary education advisor it lists degrees in economics and business, political sciences or education. For the secondary education advisor the announcement further states: "Research field: Social sciences, Research area: Economics and Business, Political sciences or Education."

The advertisement also states: "The application deadline is 15 days from the day of publication of the advertisement. After the application deadline expires, the advertisement will be removed from the Agency's website." Counting from the publication date of October 30, 2026, that 15-day window ends on November 13, 2026 (inclusive of the publication day as the announcement indicates). Applications are submitted electronically through the Agency for Administration's website.

The selection procedure will include administrative screening, a civil servant exam and verification of documents through an interview. The announcement does not make clear whether the vacancies are to replace existing posts or represent an increase in staff numbers; the organisational units named in the ad already exist within the municipal administration.
