Orce Gjorgjievski: JSP saved €500,000 on fuel in six months
The mayor claims that JSP saved €500,000 on fuel in the first six months of 2026 and that official vehicles are tracked by GPS.

The mayor of Skopje, Orce Gjorgjievski, posted on his social profiles that the Public Transport Company (JSP) recorded significant fuel savings in the first six months of 2026.
“JSP - Skopje in the first six months records a saving of half a million euros on fuel, with an additional 50 vehicles included, compared to the first six months of the same period last year. And that is only part of the changes we are making,” wrote Gjorgjievski.
In the post the mayor clarified that the calculation includes the additional 50 vehicles compared to the same period last year. He added that he himself comes to work in his personal vehicle and that official vehicles are tracked with GPS devices.
What exactly the mayor points out
According to what was said, the saving of €500,000 refers to fuel expenses for the period January–June 2026, compared with the first six months of 2025. Gjorgjievski described the amount as part of a series of operational changes being introduced by the municipality.
JSP is the public carrier that serves the city bus lines in Skopje, and fuel costs are among the largest expenses in its operation. The post did not include a detailed financial report; instead it highlighted the aggregate sum and the measures mentioned by the mayor.
Gjorgjievski presented the statement as information about continuing measures to control expenses and strengthening oversight of official vehicles, noting that what was published is only part of the planned changes.
