Investigative Centre opens at Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Shtip
Republic Public Prosecutor Nenad Saveski inaugurated operations and said the centre will help prosecutors with investigations and evidence collection.
An Investigative Centre was opened today at the Basic Public Prosecutor’s Office in Shtip. The start of operations was marked by the Republic Public Prosecutor, Nenad Saveski, who said the centre is intended to assist prosecutors in carrying out investigations and in collecting evidence.
The newly opened centre will be used especially in enquiries connected to financial and economic crime, providing specialised support to ongoing probes.
Capacity boost for complex cases
With the launch of the Shtip centre, there are now six such investigative centres operating across the country. Saveski also reported that the Shtip facility has already begun its initial activities.
Officials described the centre as a step to strengthen investigative work and improve the speed and quality of evidence gathering for prosecutors handling complex financial cases.
The opening adds to a national network of regional investigative units designed to support prosecutorial teams with specialised resources and coordination in economic crime investigations.
