Gordana Jankulovska shares rare wedding photo and 2026 family portrait

Former interior minister Gordana Jankulovska surprised followers by posting a series of personal photographs that drew wide attention and emotional reactions on social media.

From a 2010 wedding portrait to a 2026 family photo

One of the images she shared is a rare shot from 2010 in which she stands back-to-back with her husband, Vlatko Ilievski, wearing an elegant white wedding dress with lace sleeves and holding a biedermeier bouquet. The contrast with a second photograph — taken in 2026 — is striking: the couple proudly posing with their son, Petar, who appears grown and is dressed in a classic suit.

Jankulovska drew a direct line between the beginnings of her relationship with Ilievski and the present family life they now share, using the photos to mark the passage of time and the changes in their priorities.

She has been open about the hardships the family endured. After returning to her home following three difficult years spent in prison, Jankulovska says her focus shifted entirely to parenting and to spending every spare moment with her son.

In a recent interview she described that period candidly: "That was an extremely difficult and traumatic situation for the whole family, but above all for Petar who faced it at the age of only 2 years and 3 months. My husband is an excellent parent who unfortunately for several years was the only parent with whom Petar grew up and spent his time," she revealed then.

Observers have also noted a visible change in her appearance since her time in office: where she was once identified by a short, dark, strict hairstyle, she now wears a lighter, mid-length blonde bob with a modern cut — a look she appears to favor in this new, more relaxed chapter of her life.
