Piskavica (MDH Fenugreek Leaves) recalled in Croatia — consumers warned
Croatian inspectors ordered an urgent withdrawal of MDH Fenugreek Leaves (lot 312) after detection of elevated chlorpyrifos residues.
A well-known Indian spice sold in European shops has been recalled after Croatian authorities detected elevated levels of the pesticide chlorpyrifos in a single production batch.
Details of the recall
The Croatian State Inspectorate has issued an urgent withdrawal from sale for the product Piskavica, MDH Fenugreek Leaves (Kasuri Methi) in 100 g packaging. The recall covers only one lot:

The Inspectorate warned that laboratory tests found chlorpyrifos residues above the maximum permitted levels, a breach of food safety rules on pesticide residues. Consumers who have bought this exact lot are asked to stop using the product immediately.
The withdrawal applies exclusively to the named lot number 312 and does not concern other products or other batches of the same brand. Authorities typically advise returning affected packages to the place of purchase or following instructions from local food safety bodies for disposal or refund.
