Pelister’s victory in Gjorche dedicated to club legend Bozho Dimchevski
FC Pelister said Dimchevski, 72, died suddenly on 29 August 2026 and the team dedicated its recent win in Gjorche to him.

FC Pelister announced on 29 August 2026 that the club’s former player and long-time club figure Bozho Dimchevski has died suddenly at the age of 72; the team dedicated its victory in Gjorche to his memory.
In a club statement, Pelister praised Dimchevski as a leading figure in the club’s history and recounted his decades-long connection to the team.
Career and achievements
“Today, in his 72nd year, Bozho Dimchevski passed away suddenly — one of the most distinctive figures in the history of FC Pelister. Dimchevski was a leader and an important factor in many successful generations of the club. He belonged to the generation that laid the foundations for the club’s later development.
He began his football steps in 1966, in the then newly formed youth football school of FC Pelister, under the guidance of coaches Vasko Vangelov and Krste Eftimovski. Playing for the youth teams, he earned a place in the then Macedonian youth national team for a republican tournament in Cetinje. At just 18 years old he made his debut for Pelister’s senior squad.
He was part of the key generation that in the 1974/1975 season achieved the club’s greatest success to that date — the historic promotion to the Second Federal Yugoslav League. Dimchevski is among the players with the most official appearances in the history of the Bitola club.
His active playing career ended in 1984 with a ceremonial farewell match. Even after retirement, he remained active as a club veteran and continued to play for the veterans until his passing.
