A.Č. succumbed to a severe head wound after an attack that also killed her husband S.Č. (48) and daughter J.Č. (19); suspect B.K. took his own life.

Mourning spread through Velika Gradiška after 46-year-old A.Č. succumbed to severe injuries ten days following a violent incident at the end of August. Investigators believe her brother, 39-year-old border police officer B.K., fired on members of the family.
In that same attack A.Č.'s husband, 48-year-old S.Č., and their 19-year-old daughter, J.Č., were killed. A 70-year-old mother of the husband was seriously wounded. Authorities say the suspected shooter, B.K., died by suicide after the shootings.
A.Č., who worked as a hairdresser, was rushed into care with a serious gunshot wound to the head. Doctors fought for her life for ten days, but she ultimately did not survive her injuries.
