Actor Serhat Mustafa Kılıç, 51, found dead in Istanbul apartment
Found by his girlfriend in a Kağıthane flat; police noted bruising, cause of death to be confirmed after autopsy

Turkish actor Serhat Mustafa Kılıç, 51, has died after being found lifeless inside his Istanbul apartment, authorities say.
According to reports, Kılıç was discovered by his girlfriend in his flat in the Nurtepe neighbourhood of Kağıthane after she had been unable to reach him since Thursday. Emergency services and police arrived at the scene but medics could only confirm his death.
Police reported visible bruising; autopsy pending
Initial examinations by the police noted bruising around his eyes and marks on his arms and legs. There has been no official confirmation that those injuries are directly connected to the cause of death. The exact cause will be determined following an autopsy and forensic analyses.
Serhat Mustafa Kılıç was born on July 8, 1975, in Ankara. A graduate of Bilkent University's acting program, he built a long career on stage and screen and became well known across the region through roles in television series and films.
He gained recognition among Macedonian and regional audiences for parts in popular series including Ezel, Seksenler, Söz and Kuruluş: Osman, and appeared in films such as Veda, Kış Uykusu, Nokta and Mavzer.
Ezel — one of the series he is best remembered for — follows Ömer Uçar, a devoted young man whose life is destroyed when childhood friends frame him for a casino robbery that leaves a guard dead. After years of abuse in prison and a dramatic escape with the help of his mentor Ramiz, Ömer reappears as Ezel Bayraktar, scarred and determined to take revenge on those who betrayed him.
