Enrollment opens at Goce Delchev University in Shtip; 3,341 places available
3,341 places offered; enrolment period open until 21 August — the Faculty of Medical Sciences attracts the largest interest.

Goce Delchev University (UGD) in Shtip opened its first enrolment period for first‑year students for the 2026/2027 academic year. The application window runs until 21 August and candidates can choose from 47 accredited study programmes offered across 12 faculties and three academies.
Capacity, deadlines and application flow
The university has announced a total of 3,341 available places for the new academic year — 1,629 of those reserved for full‑time (regular) students, with the remainder allocated to part‑time and co‑financed places. In recent days UGD has already received about 1,000 electronic applications, the prorector said.
“The application process itself takes place in two phases. Namely, candidates first submit an electronic application through our e‑enrolment system, and then in the second step they bring their documents in physical form and submit them at one of the university’s enrolment desks which are located in Shtip at the Faculty of Law, we have an enrolment desk in Strumica, in Gevgelija, in Kavadarci and in Skopje,” said Sasho Kocevski, Prorector for Teaching at UGD.
Kocevski noted that the Faculty of Medical Sciences is drawing the most interest, while social sciences — particularly the Faculty of Economics and the Faculty of Law — along with the Faculty of Tourism and Business Logistics also remain popular. Technical fields receive steady interest as well, with the Faculty of Informatics, the Faculty of Natural and Technical Sciences and the Faculty of Agriculture highlighted among them.
For candidates who miss the first enrolment period, UGD has scheduled two additional enrolment rounds: the second on 3–4 September and the third on 16–17 September.
Regarding the timetable for the first enrolment round, Kocevski said that once candidates submit their physical documents — which must be done by Friday, 21 August — the admissions commission will verify and review them. “On 26 August preliminary results will be posted. Candidates who believe they should file objections may do so on 27 August, and on 31 August the university will publish final ranking lists and issue admission decisions. Student registration will take place from 1 to 3 September this year,” he added.
