State universities begin student enrollment for the 2026/2027 academic year

State universities across North Macedonia open enrollment for new students for the 2026/2027 academic year, with the first applications expected to start on August 18, 2026.
Key dates and capacities by university
At Ss. Cyril and Methodius University in Skopje (UKIM) the application window opens on August 18, 2026. The university has announced a total of 8,851 places across 23 faculties for undergraduate intake, divided into 4,395 state‑funded spots, 3,621 co‑financing places and 835 places for part‑time students. First‑round enrollments are also scheduled for August 19, 2026.
St. Kliment Ohridski University in Bitola (UKLO) likewise begins candidate registration on August 18, 2026. UKLO has 2,115 places for bachelor programmes this year: 1,074 in the state quota, with the remaining 612 and 429 slots set aside for co‑financing and part‑time studies respectively. The university has planned first‑round enrollments for August 19, 20 and 21, 2026.
Goce Delchev University in Shtip (UGD) will open first‑cycle enrollment on Wednesday, August 19, 2026, and the process will continue during the following two days. According to the competition notice, UGD is offering a total of 3,341 vacancies: 1,629 state‑funded places, 972 co‑financing spots and 735 for part‑time students.
The State University in Tetovo (DUT) has scheduled its enrollments from August 24 to August 28, 2026. The university set a total capacity of 3,164 freshmen places this year, comprising 1,697 regular students, 987 co‑financing positions and 480 part‑time places.
Mother Teresa University in Skopje will hold enrollments between August 24 and August 26, 2026. Its total intake quota is 1,360 students, of which 945 are regular places, 235 are for co‑financing and 180 for part‑time studies.
