North Macedonia weather: rain expected from tomorrow through Tuesday, locally over 60 L/m²
Cyclone-driven rain and cooler temperatures are expected; UHMR warns of locally heavy totals, with Skopje above 40 L/m².

A cyclonic weather system will push a wet and noticeably colder spell across North Macedonia from tomorrow through Tuesday, the Hydrometeorological Service (UHMR) warns. Rain is expected intermittently over large parts of the country, with the heaviest totals forecast for Sunday and Monday into Tuesday morning.
Where rainfall will be heaviest
UHMR forecasts that in many locations more than 25 liters per square meter may fall within a 24‑hour period, and that locally cumulative amounts could exceed 60 liters per square meter during the forecast period. Sunday and Monday — toward the end of the day and overnight into Tuesday — are singled out as the times with the greatest likelihood of heavier downpours.
In Skopje the outlook calls for cloudy skies with sporadic rain from tomorrow until Tuesday, with varying intensity. For the entire forecast period the Skopje Basin is expected to receive more than 40 liters per square meter of rain.
The arrival of cooler air along with the precipitation will make temperatures fall below recent values. Authorities advise residents to be prepared for locally intense rainfall and possible accumulations on roads and low-lying areas.
Drivers are urged to adjust speed and maintain safe distances on wet roads, and the public should keep an eye on UHMR updates if planning travel or outdoor activities over the coming days.
