Ohrid police file charges against 42-year-old A. D. for child pornography
Police say a 20 October search turned up a desktop and videos; a judge ordered 30 days’ pretrial detention.
The Computer Crime Unit at the Ohrid Regional Police Department has filed a criminal complaint against 42-year-old A. D. from Ohrid on suspicion of production and distribution of child pornography, under Article 193-a of the Criminal Code.
Police executed a search of the suspect’s home on 20 October after receiving a court order. The operation was carried out by officers from the Ohrid Regional Police Department in coordination with the Sector for Computer Crime and Digital Forensics at the Ministry of Interior.
Items seized during the search
During the search authorities seized a desktop computer and video files containing explicit child pornographic material.
A. D. was immediately taken into custody. An investigating judge ordered a 30-day remand in detention.
The criminal complaint has been submitted and the case remains in pretrial proceedings under the relevant provisions of Article 193-a of the Criminal Code.
