A commemorative bust of Kiril Pejčinović was unveiled and consecrated today in the churchyard of St. Demetrius in the village of Tearce.

The ceremony included a Divine Liturgy led by Metropolitan Josif of Tetovo–Gostivar together with priests from the Tetovo episcopal vicariate. Local officials, clergy and residents attended the unveiling in the churchyard.

Consecration and remarks

During his address to worshippers Metropolitan Josif spoke about the historical importance of Kiril Pejčinović for the Macedonian people and highlighted his work in education and enlightenment under the name St. Kiril Leshocki.

The new bust was presented as a tribute to Pejčinović’s legacy in the region where he was born and active. Organizers said the installation aims to strengthen local ties to the cultural and spiritual heritage he helped shape.

After the service attendees gathered near the monument for brief remarks and a blessing. The initiative was supported by the parish community and members of the wider Tearce municipality.
