Hristijan Mickoski: "What is shown on social media is not real life"
At Goce Delchev University in Shtip he warned students against idealizing life abroad and called the struggle for family and homeland the true challenge.

Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski told students in Shtip that what people present on social media does not reflect real life, speaking at the inaugural academic class at Goce Delchev University in Shtip.
Addressing the gathered students, Mickoski offered advice he said came from his own experience and urged them not to accept the assumption that life is necessarily better somewhere far away. He emphasized that young people will face obstacles and meet people who try to convince them it is impossible to succeed in their home country.
Message to students
“What everyone wants to show you on social media is essentially not the real life,” Mickoski said, in words that underlined his central point about perception versus reality. He framed the real challenge as the day-to-day effort of building a life at home rather than chasing an idealized future abroad.
He told students that true life, in his view, is the struggle awaiting them — the struggle for their own families and for their homeland. The prime minister called on the new generation to measure opportunities against the responsibilities that tie them to their communities.
The event at Goce Delchev University marked the start of the academic year in Shtip and gave Mickoski a platform to speak directly to young people entering higher education.
