Knife fight in Tetovo centre leaves two injured; two detained
Stabbing occured outside an eatery on Boris Kidrič Street; two 20‑year‑olds from Kamenjane were injured.

Two groups of young men clashed with knives late last night in the centre of Tetovo, leaving two 20‑year‑olds with stab wounds and prompting police arrests, authorities said.
The incident took place in front of a hospitality venue on Boris Kidrič Street. The injured are identified by initials as E.M. (20) and A.R. (20); both were taken to Tetovo Clinical Hospital for treatment.
“After measures were taken, on 8 August at 01:25, in the Tetovo Clinical Hospital, A.R. (20) was deprived of liberty. At 01:30, H.Š. (22) from the village Novo Selo and A.B. (23) from the village Gorno Palchishte presented themselves to SVR Tetovo. They were also deprived of liberty and held in a police station. Identification of other persons who participated in the fight is ongoing. An inspection of the scene was carried out by a team from SVR Tetovo,” the police said.
Police report that A.R. was detained while at the hospital, and shortly afterwards two other participants arrived at the Tetovo police unit and surrendered. Investigators are working to identify additional suspects and to reconstruct the sequence of events that led to the stabbing.
Local authorities have not released further details about the motive or the condition of the wounded beyond their admission to the hospital. The police said the scene was processed by officers from SVR Tetovo.
