The average monthly paid net salary in the country in August 2026 amounted to 48.733 denars, an increase of 7.6 percent compared with the same month last year, the State Statistical Office reported.
Annual growth was driven primarily by increases in several sectors: Water supply; sewerage, waste management and remediation activities rose by 11.9 percent, Administrative and support service activities by 10.7 percent, and Manufacturing by 9 percent.
Sectoral movements and monthly changes
Compared with the previous month, August saw month-on-month increases in specific fields: Electricity, gas, steam and air conditioning recorded a 5.4 percent rise, Arts, entertainment and recreation increased by 5 percent, and Administrative and support service activities by 4.2 percent.
The average gross salary in August this year stood at 73 336 denars.
