Raphinha named La Liga Player of the Month for August
The Brazilian scored five goals in Barcelona's first three La Liga matches, including braces against Elche and Rayo Vallecano.

Raphinha has been voted La Liga Player of the Month for August after an explosive start to the 2026–27 season with Barcelona.
Strong opening weeks
The Brazilian forward netted five goals across Barcelona's first three league fixtures, a run that put him ahead in the monthly award race. He opened the campaign with a brace against Elche — a match in which he also provided an assist — and added a strike against Athletic Bilbao.
Raphinha completed his August tally by scoring twice in Barcelona's 5:2 victory over Rayo Vallecano, performances that the club and supporters pointed to as decisive in the team's positive start to the season.
The Player of the Month honor was decided in competition with several high-profile names: Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Jude Bellingham, Alex Baena and Nahuel Tenaglia.
Barcelona will look to maintain the momentum provided by Raphinha's form as the league schedule intensifies in September.
