Trump approval falls to 32% — lowest recorded
A national poll finds Trump's support at 32%, a drop from 35%, while registered voters prefer Democrats 43% to 35% ahead of November 3.
Support for President Donald Trump has slipped to 32 percent — the lowest level recorded so far in the most recent national poll.
Compared with the previous survey, his rating fell from 35 to 32 percent, while support among Republicans dropped from 82 to 73 percent.
Midterm outlook shifts in favor of Democrats
The poll also shows a shift in voter sentiment ahead of the midterm elections on November 3. Among registered voters, 43 percent say they would vote for a Democratic candidate, while 35 percent favor a Republican — the largest Democratic advantage seen in polls this year.
On foreign policy, 34 percent approve of the attack on Iran, while 82 percent believe the conflict is likely to last longer. Regarding domestic issues, 36 percent approved of his approach to immigration and 35 percent approved of his approach to fighting crime.
The survey was conducted online among 1,277 adults in the United States.
