EU Ambassador Mihalis Rokas hands European Commission report to Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski today
The European Commission praises Growth Plan participation but says constitutional changes and stronger rule-of-law results are still required.

EU Ambassador Mihalis Rokas will hand the European Commission's report on North Macedonia's progress to Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski today, continuing formal contacts between diplomatic representatives and the Government over the country's accession path.
Key findings and remaining conditions
The report notes North Macedonia's active participation in the Growth Plan for the Western Balkans and a high degree of alignment with the EU's foreign and security policy.
At the same time, the European Commission points to a lack of progress on adopting the constitutional amendments that are a precondition for opening the first negotiating cluster, and records limited advances in the rule of law and the fight against corruption.
European Commissioner for Enlargement Marta Kos assessed that the country has improved its membership readiness and accelerated reforms under the Growth Plan, but stressed that additional results are needed in anti-corruption efforts and public administration reform.
For accession talks to be unblocked, the obligation to include minorities in the Constitution remains in force, in line with the Council of the EU conclusions from 2022.
