Russia launched 92 drones; Ukraine shot down 71

Ukraine’s military aviation reported that it shot down and neutralized 71 of a total 92 drones Russia launched overnight.

Types, launch points and targets

The Ukrainian armed forces said Moscow used Shahed drones, some of them jet‑powered, as well as Gerbera drones, decoys “Parodiya” and S‑8000 Banderol drones. The statement added that drones were launched from Russia and from the occupied territories of Donetsk and Crimea.

Attacks were registered at 12 locations, and debris fell at a further site. In Zaporizhzhia a shopping centre caught fire after being struck by a drone, the regional military administration said.

No casualties were reported at the attacked locations.

Separate reports in Russian media said there were drone strikes on a shopping centre in Mariupol and on an oil depot in Sochi.
