Russian drone strikes 24‑storey residential building in Kyiv, one killed
Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko and the city military administration reported fatalities and multiple fires after the strike in Sviatoshynskyi district.

A Russian drone struck a 24‑storey residential tower in the Sviatoshynskyi district of Kyiv, killing one person and wounding others, Kyiv mayor Vitali Klitschko and the city military administration said. Emergency crews have been deployed to the scene.
Rescuers reported heavy structural damage to the high‑rise and search‑and‑rescue efforts are ongoing as firefighters work to contain fires inside and around the building. Authorities have not yet released a final toll.
Footage circulated on social media appears to show the instant the unmanned aerial vehicle hit the tower; the post included the remark “Frankly normal” morning in Kyiv and was shared by UAVoyager (@CrimeanVoyager).
Additional strikes and fires across the city
Officials said debris from drone impacts sparked a blaze among parked cars in the Desnianskyi district. In the Solomianskyi district, a facility linked to transport infrastructure was also struck and caught fire.
City emergency services and the military administration said firefighting and clearance operations continue around the affected sites while investigators work to document the damage and assist victims.
