SDSM: Prices have hit a ceiling, Mickoski government has taken no measures
The opposition party says prices are at a ceiling, the consumer basket is almost 90.000 denars and the government has not taken the measures SDSM calls necessary.

SDSM issued a written statement today accusing the government led by Prime Minister Hristijan Mickoski of failing to act while living costs have climbed to what the party calls a ceiling across shops, markets and other outlets, and wages stagnate.
The party pointed out that the consumer basket has reached nearly 90.000 denars with rent included, while the average wage has fallen by 1.163 denars.
SDSM lists measures it says were ignored
SDSM criticised that fuel prices rose—diesel surpassed 100 denars—and that the Mickoski government did not reduce excise duties, did not cut VAT from 18% to 5%, and did not raise the minimum wage to 600 euros or increase salaries and pensions.
In its statement the party warned that small or symbolic initiatives will not help. "Parents need higher wages so that they can send their children to school, provide food, snacks, clothing, costs related to the educational process… For the Government of North Macedonia led by Mickoski citizens are not a priority but business interests. Therefore citizens are left on their own, without money, with empty wallets and empty refrigerators."
SDSM concluded that under the current conditions, handing out school supplies will have no real effect unless the government adopts concrete economic measures to ease household budgets.
