According to the minister's announcement, the full analysis of the drinking-water samples taken in Gostivar will be made public by August 20. The statement on timing prompted an immediate reaction from SDSM.
SDSM said that the government's permit for resuming technical use of the water was problematic, declaring that "the permit for technical use is unconvincing."
The party questioned how authorities could consider the supply technically acceptable while the detailed laboratory report would not be published for nearly two weeks after the announcement.
SDSM's response underlines political pressure around the issue in Gostivar and the demand for clear, timely disclosure of test results ahead of the August 20 deadline.
