Sergej Poposki premieres "Jednom zauvijek" in Skopje
Poposki presented his first authored song and video at Ragusa 360 in Skopje, after viral clips and a September 19 performance in Ljubljana.
Young singer Sergej Poposki presented his first original song and music video, "Jednom zauvijek," to a home audience on Tuesday evening at Ragusa 360 in Skopje. The event combined a press presentation and a cocktail reception where Poposki spoke about the new stage of his career and played the single for the first time in his native country.
From early lessons in Prilep to big stages in Slovenia
Poposki’s appearance in Skopje followed a string of recent successes that began on social media and led to performances on larger stages. Born in Prilep and introduced to music by his grandfather, a musician and conductor, he continued his studies at age 15 at the Matrix music school with vocal coach Denis Dimoski and later took part in festivals such as Ohrid Fest, Makfest and Student Summer.
In 2026 he won the Grand Prix at the WAF Awards in Skopje. More recently he moved to Slovenia, where his filmed covers on TikTok drew wide attention—some clips topped 170,000 views—and culminated in a September 19 performance at Ljubljana’s Križanke, where the audience asked for an encore.
About returning to perform his own song at home, Poposki said: "For me this evening means something truly special. Macedonia is the place where my love for music began, where I took my first steps and where the people who knew me from the start are. I am very proud that after everything that has been happening recently, tonight I am here and I can share my first song with the domestic audience. 'Jednom zauvijek' is just the beginning and I hope this is the first of many songs and meetings we will share in the future."
"Jednom zauvijek" is Poposki’s first authored release. The music is by Maria Dzheneva-Kiskinova, lyrics by Tomislav Jovanović and arrangement by Miro Buljan. The accompanying video was created by a regional creative team: director Dejan Miličević, director of photography Vladimir Borović, cameraman Ognjen Predić and editor Vladimir Borović; makeup, costume and scenography were handled by Srđan Nikolić.
While he now lives and works in Slovenia, Poposki stressed that he intends to keep his Macedonian roots visible in his music and to build a career that connects Macedonia, Slovenia, Croatia and the wider region. The video for "Jednom zauvijek" is available on YouTube, and Poposki’s social accounts are @sergejpoposki on Instagram, TikTok and Facebook.
