Shtip UGD completed official training in Doetinchem

Published October 20, 2026 at 20:10. Shtip UGD completed an official training session on the court in Doetinchem as they prepare for tomorrow's Champions League fixture against the Dutch champions.

The Macedonian title-holders worked out in the Topsporthal arena and made their first on-court preparations for the international test that awaits them. The session allowed the players and coaching staff to adapt to the hall’s floor, lighting and sightlines ahead of the match.

Match setting and significance

The clash with the Netherlands’ top club represents a demanding introduction for Shtip on Europe’s biggest club stage. The team’s staff described the meeting as an important chance to measure themselves against high-level opposition.

After the away encounter in Doetinchem, Shtip will host the return leg next week at home. The two-legged tie gives the Macedonian champions both a European challenge and an opportunity to showcase their progress on the continental stage.

Coaches used the official training to finalise rotations and to familiarise younger squad members with the environment they will face under match conditions. The delegation left the hall confident that the preparation was complete and that the players were physically ready for tomorrow’s kickoff.
