Skopje woman found dead in Volkswagen Passat on Gevgelija–Veles motorway
A 56-year-old Skopje resident, identified as M.D., was discovered dead in a Volkswagen Passat; emergency doctor reported no signs of violence.
A 56-year-old woman from Skopje was found dead inside a passenger car on the Gevgelija–Veles motorway on Sunday evening, authorities in Veles reported.
At 19:40 a report reached the Veles police that a deceased person, identified as M.D., age 56, from Skopje, had been discovered in a Volkswagen Passat bearing Skopje registration plates on the Gevgelija–Veles motorway.
An emergency medical doctor pronounced the woman dead and noted there were no signs of violence. An investigative team from the Sector for Internal Affairs - Veles carried out the on-site inspection.
By order of a public prosecutor, the body was handed over for autopsy to establish the cause of death.
The Veles police said the investigation at the scene was completed and that forensic and procedural steps will continue as the autopsy results become available.
