Traffic on state roads in North Macedonia this morning is moving without major interruptions and the carriageways are mostly dry.

The Automoto-Union of Macedonia (AMSM) reported that traffic flow outside urban areas is moderate. At border crossings on the Macedonian side there are no long delays for entry or exit.

AMSM urged drivers to adapt their speed to road conditions, obey traffic signs and handle vehicles with care. The association singled out routes running through basins, river valleys and gorges as locations where rockfalls or other obstructions can occur.

"This applies in particular to the sections Katlanovo – Veles, Mavrovo – Debar – Struga, Vinica – Berovo and Kochani – Delchevo," AMSM said.

The advisory comes amid generally cooler, mostly cloudy weather with occasional local rain reported earlier, which can make some surfaces slippery in shaded or low-lying areas.

Drivers were asked to monitor traffic information and road signs and to allow extra time when planning journeys on mountain or valley routes.
