Two more survivors pulled to safety in Nepal, 10 days after Himalayan flash flood

Rescue teams in Nepal pulled two more people to safety on the 10th day after a sudden, devastating flash flood in the Himalayas, authorities said.
A woman of about 60 years old was found alive inside a buried house in Betravati in Bagmati Province, which borders Tibet. She was airlifted by helicopter to Kathmandu for treatment; there was no immediate update on her condition.
Rescue inside a hydropower tunnel
The Nepal Army confirmed it had rescued a Chinese national from a tunnel in a destroyed hydropower facility in the Rasuwa area. The man was given a medical examination after being brought out.
Rescuers penetrated approximately 225 meters into the affected tunnel to extract him, according to officials involved in the operation.
Search efforts are continuing inside the tunnel system of the Upper Trishuli-1 hydropower plant as teams try to locate any additional survivors and assess the damage caused by the flood.
