Kosovo Serbs travel to central Serbia to vote after Pristina blocks polling
Thousands of voters from Kosovo crossed into Serbia on 25 October 2026 after Pristina did not allow polling on its territory.

On 25 October 2026, large numbers of ethnic Serbs from Kosovo set off early in the morning for central Serbia to cast ballots in snap parliamentary elections after voting was not permitted on Kosovo territory by Pristina authorities.
Transport organised by buses and private cars
Residents from municipalities including Leposavic, Zvecan, the northern part of Kosovska Mitrovica, Zubin Potok, and Serbian-majority areas south of the Ibar—such as Gracanica, Strpce and the Kosovo Pomoravlje region—travelled by organised buses and private vehicles to polling centres in Serbia.
The Republic Election Commission decided that voters registered in Kosovo and Metohija will vote at stations in Vranje, Kursumlija, Raska and Tutin.
According to the allocation: voters from the Kosovska Mitrovica administrative district—Leposavic, Zvecan, Kosovska Mitrovica and Srbica—will vote in Raska; voters from Zubin Potok will vote in Tutin; and citizens from Vucitrn will vote in Merdare.
Voters from Metohija, in the Pec district—Istok, Pec, Klina—and from the Prizren district—Prizren, Suva Reka, Orahovac, Gora and Opolje—will also vote in Tutin. In Vranje are assigned voters from the Kosovo-Pomoravlje district: Kosovska Kamenica, Novo Brdo, Gnjilane and Vitina. In Kursumlija will vote citizens from Podujevo, Obilic, Gracanica, Pristina, Lipjan, Kosovo Polje, Shtërpce and Urosevac.
There are 6,451,292 registered voters eligible to vote in today’s early parliamentary elections. Polling stations are open until 20:00.
