Serbia to open drone factory with "Israeli partners", Vučić says

Serbia announced plans to open a new drone factory in September that will be built together with "Israeli partners", President Aleksandar Vučić said after meeting Ukraine's president in Belgrade. He gave an approximate opening window but declined to disclose key details about the project.
Vučić told reporters the plant is expected to be inaugurated around September 15 or 20, but he did not specify the factory's location, production capacity, the types of drones to be manufactured or the investment's value.
When asked about the possibility of military cooperation between Serbia and Ukraine, Vučić replied: "Serbia will open a drone factory, but with the Israelis," and added that he and Volodymyr Zelensky had not discussed military cooperation at this time, though it "could be a topic after the war ends."
Agreement on veterinary and food safety cooperation
During the same visit, the two countries signed a memorandum on cooperation in the fields of animal health and food safety. The document was concluded between the Serbian Ministry of Agriculture and the Ukrainian State Service for Food Safety and Consumer Protection.
The announcement of the drone factory came following the bilateral meeting in Belgrade; beyond the timing and the involvement of Israeli partners, officials provided no further technical or financial information about the planned enterprise.
