SSM: Syndical minimum basket for September 2026 is 69,432 denars
SSM reports a month-on-month rise of 757 denars; with a 60 m² rented flat the September total is 84,807 denars.
The Federation of Trade Unions of Macedonia (SSM) calculated the syndical minimum basket for September 2026 at 69,432 denars.
That figure represents an increase of 757 denars compared with the syndical minimum basket for August 2026, which SSM reported as 68,675 denars.
According to SSM's September calculation, when including the cost of a rented apartment of 60 square metres the total rises to 84,807.00 denars.
SSM published the monthly figure as part of its ongoing monitoring of household costs and living expenses. The organisation updates the syndical minimum basket each month to reflect changes in prices for basic goods and services.
The month-on-month increase from August to September 2026 was modest in absolute terms — 757 denars — but continues a series of monthly adjustments the union tracks to assess purchasing power for working households.
