Bojan Stojanovski: Capital investments to be realised at record level

"Capital investments will be realized in a record amount," Bojan Stojanovski, an MP from VMRO‑DPMNE, said during an evening debate, defending the government's plan for this year's spending.

Vehicle purchases tied to project allocations, he said

Stojanovski dismissed warnings that the budget lacks funds as exaggerated, saying citizens should treat those alarms the same way they treat the migration issue and that the matter will end accordingly.

"The procurement of vehicles in the Ministry of Environment is linked exclusively to vehicle purchases for projects. That is how the budget line stands. Perhaps the line for the Ministry of Health was the same and we procured 100 new ambulance vehicles, 49 new vehicles for 'Communal Hygiene' in Skopje, 100 vehicles for police officers, 100 vehicles for the Post, and another 150 buses are coming. Negotiations are also under way for 150 new vehicles for the country's police forces, because that is what should represent national pride and we carry that out with pleasure," Stojanovski said.

He added that new vehicles will also be procured for the Army and other institutions that need them. On planned budget cuts and the proposed rebalance, Stojanovski pointed to a new "AA infrastructure projects" programme, saying those funds will cover the implementation of capital projects.

The VMRO‑DPMNE parliamentarian presented the purchases as part of an effort to advance infrastructure and public services, stressing the administration's priority to continue capital investment despite fiscal concerns.
