Suzana Turundzieva opens up about personal losses and cancer in new interview

Suzana Turundzieva, a well-known Macedonian TV host, singer and author, speaks candidly about losses and life-changing lessons in a new interview. She is the featured guest on the program "Kafe Muabeti," which premieres tonight at 22:15 on Glamur's YouTube channel.

Turundzieva recounts growing up in Bitola in a household of village schoolteachers and says those early family values shaped her career choices. She also reflects on student years and the first professional disappointments that taught her resilience.

Personal losses and an illness that changed everything

She remembers with sorrow the unexpected death of her father and the loss of her brother, whom she says "left for the other side too early." Those family tragedies, she explains, remain decisive moments in her life.

Later she confronted her own health crisis when she was diagnosed with cancer — a shock after years spent accompanying loved ones at the oncology clinic. On that experience she delivers a blunt message to others battling illness: "We must change. The disease leaves the body when it itself no longer recognizes it," Turundzieva says.

Asked about love and motherhood, she speaks warmly of her role as a grandmother to her grandson Jakov, a gift from her daughter on Turundzieva's 50th birthday. As a final reflection she tells viewers: "Life did not give me the privilege to sit and cry. I have to look ahead; there is no eraser for the past."

The full, emotional conversation is available in the new episode of "Kafe Muabeti" — watch the premiere tonight at 22:15 on Glamur's YouTube channel.
