Evening fight in Skopje’s Centar: two women arrested, sharp object found
Both suspects were detained after a mutual physical altercation and alleged aggression toward officers; charges will follow after case documentation.
Two women were detained in Skopje's Centar area on the evening of 14.09.2026 after a street fight and subsequent aggressive behaviour toward police, the authorities said.
According to a police statement, officers responded to a report of a disturbance and found the two women involved in a physical altercation. Both were arrested at the scene and taken into custody for further processing.
Police: sharp object found on one of the women
“On 14.09.2026 at approximately 19:50 in Skopje, in the Centar area, police officers from SVR Skopje detained S.R.(26) and V.A.(24), both from Skopje, acting on a prior report that they disturbed public order and peace by mutual physical altercation and behaved aggressively toward police officers performing official duties. During measures and after an inspection, a sharp object was found on V.A. After full documentation of the case, an appropriate charge will follow,” the police said.
No further details about injuries or the exact type of the sharp object were released. Investigators will complete documentation before filing charges against the two women.
The incident occurred in the evening hours in the central municipality of Centar and prompted a police response aimed at restoring public order.
