Tetovo man detained after video — suspected of raping child under 15
R.N. (62) turned himself in to Tetovo Police Station after a video circulated online; detained under article 188 of the Criminal Code.
A 62-year-old resident of Tetovo has been taken into custody on suspicion of raping a child who had not yet turned 15.
Police say that last night at 21:45, following a video that had circulated on social media, the suspect identified as R.N. (62) presented himself at the Tetovo Police Station.
Detention on prosecutor's order
Acting on guidance from a prosecutor at the Basic Public Prosecutor's Office Tetovo, the man was deprived of liberty on the basis of founded suspicion for an offense under article 188 of the Criminal Code.
R.N. is being held at the police station pending further procedural steps. Authorities said the police, in coordination with the competent prosecutor's office, are working to fully clarify and document the case.
No additional details about the victim or the content of the video were released. Investigators indicated the matter remains under active inquiry.
