Warm morning, showers and hail possible in the afternoon
Heavy afternoon showers, thunderstorms and locally severe storms with hail are possible; morning lows 14–20°C, daytime highs 31–39°C.
Sunny and warm conditions are expected during the morning, but the Hydrometeorological Service warns that heavy showers and thunderstorms may develop in the afternoon and evening in places across the country.
Locally, these processes could turn into severe storms accompanied by gusty to strong winds and the appearance of hail. Morning temperatures will range from 14 to 20 degrees Celsius, while daytime highs are forecast between 31 and 39 degrees Celsius.
Skopje outlook
In Skopje the morning will be sunny and warm with light to moderate cloudiness. Cloud cover will increase in the afternoon, and parts of the Skopje Valley may see heavy rain, thunder and strengthened winds later in the day.
Residents in areas with a risk of localized storms should secure loose outdoor items and avoid exposed locations during intense gusts and lightning. Drivers should be prepared for sudden downpours and reduced visibility on some roads.
The Hydrometeorological Service will issue any further warnings if conditions intensify; meanwhile, people are advised to follow local alerts and take usual summer precautions against heat and storm hazards.
