Trajko Bojkovski admits three of four murders at trial

At a hearing held today, 28 September 2026, Trajko Bojkovski admitted responsibility for three of the four murders with which he is charged, but denied killing Stanche Karevska from the village of Klechovce and altered his earlier statement about the motive for the attacks.
Expert testimony: accused was calculating
A specialist psychiatrist who testified at the same hearing told the court that he stands by the findings recorded in the forensic report and that the accused acted in a deliberate, calculating manner when he committed the crimes.
Prosecutors say the series of killings were carried out between January 2025 and February 2026 in several villages within Staro Nagorichane Municipality. The case has attracted public attention because of the number and pattern of the crimes.
Defense and prosecution will present their closing arguments on 6 October 2026, when the court is expected to move toward a final decision in the trial.
The proceedings in this case have included multiple witness statements and expert analyses; the latest hearing again focused on the defendant's own account and the psychiatric evaluation of his mental state at the time of the offenses.
